Positive streak to terror attacks

Sometimes it takes one catastrophe to transform the mindset, attitude and approach of millions towards people, life and inculcate a sense of belongingness and brotherhood amongst them.
In this carnage the countrywide show of unity and involvement was unprecedented. Though late, but this imperative aspect has finally aroused in the citizens of the country widespread. Such inexorable cycle of violence had been given undue footage solely due to the presence of highly recalcitrant citizens who were previously immune to the sufferings of any other than their own family, friends or relatives. Such overt and prodigious show of emotions and concern has finally let those nefarious enemies know that this can’t continue for long and there has to be a definite stop to this.
Such a wide sweep of savagery has finally prompted us to recognize the enormity of the threat. The proponent has successfully been smashed on their face with vital piece of information stating that we are now an intrepid society and absolutely cannot be harassed any further.

Due to such large scale show of emotions, protests, rallies, discussions with serious food for thought and anger that has creeped in the minds and hearts of millions, letting go of innocent lives, though forcefully has rung a bell loud and clear in the ears of the entire media, politicians and eminent society members.
There is another positive side to the post crises healing. We become less class conscious. That was evident in the standing ovation the Taj Mahal hotel staff received from guests invited to the reopening and also from the fact that not many could – or wanted to- hide the dampness in their eyes. We wouldn’t walk into a hotel or restaurant again without treating the staff with greater respect then before. If the ghastly attack on Mumbai has any silver linings, these are the ones.
And if it takes moment of madness to make us a kinder, gentler, more equal society, then let the healing process be a longer one.

anyway, it seems pertinent to point out that india is class conscious. had the elite class not been the victims of 26/11, the government would have dealt with the situation with it's lazy approach.
and i disagree that the proponent has been smashed in the face, rather, the proponents have emerged stronger than before and have managed to grab themselves more political stronghold in their haven than ever.
pakistan needs an awakening, and for that it needs a leader. until and unless the pakistani liberal and moderate voices subdue the irrational and cynical talibani, the world would have to live under the fear of another terror attack. (maybe worse than 26/11 or 9/11).
anyway, the Indian awakening is laudable. never too late.

  2. The biggest problem with us is that we do not take any problem seriously until it becomes a near disaster. We are too careless. If something wrong is happening near us, we do not intervene coz it has nothing to do with us. when the same thing happens with us we criticize government, officials and everyone but real initiators of any wrong trend lies within us.
    it is rightly said: आओ हम सब पहेन ले आइने , सारे देखेंगे अपना ही चेहरा, सबको सारे हसीन लगेंगे यहाँ ॥

well those candle light vigils n march might sound positive to anyone but i found them useless. Do such marches guarantee that such attacks will not happen again. the money spent on candles would have been spent on welfare of martyrs. the march in mumbai was highly covered by media as it was hosted by so called page 3 peoples.they criticised indian leadership on camera. but can you remind me anything bollywood or page 3 people are doing for country.
in delhi, DUSU & National campaign for combatting terrorism under patronship of former President APJ ABDUL KALAM organized series of events ranging from marathon, rti workshop , theatre festival to demand
1 improvement in security in colleges
2 fire drill n self defence training for students
3 preparing a database of students in different universities
4 installation of cctvs in university
It focusses on ACTION, not REACTION.
our event was successful but it was different from MUMBAI march as we want a long period scheme to eradicate terrorism not a one day date.
such kind of events are required as terrorism is not only which comes from neighbouring country. any irresponsible citizen and undemocratic person, who does not value his vote is also a terrorist. so start changing yourself and your attitude towards your country

yet again the society or the people united it was the same scenario, as of the Priyadarshani Matto where the people marched with candle, but this time at a larger scale and yes i do agree it was from every strata of the society. but the responce of the government has been so far unappropriately lazy; like every case Kasab has also been given "dates". I dont understand why?
